Meet your PT

I am Desiree Pabin, PT, DPT, WCS, PRPC, CAPP-Pelvic, PCES. I am the owner of Illume Pelvic Health Physical Therapy & Wellness. I am a Board Certified Women’s Health Physical Therapist. I was born in California, and raised in Chandler, AZ. I attended La Sierra University in Riverside, CA, where I received my Bachelors of Science in Health and Exercise Science with a minor in Health Science in 2011. I went on to attend Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, CA, where I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2014.

I am a lifetime learner and have a hobby of collecting “letters.” I currently have every certification attainable for treating pelvic health patients. Other than being Board Certified in Women’ Health (WCS) I also have attained Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC), the Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP-Pelvic) and the Pregnancy and Post-partum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) certification.

Education in pelvic health physical therapy has always been something I chased. I knew prior to getting into PT school I wanted to pursue this specialty. Part of my treatment philosophy is that there is no such thing as “taboo” and I strive to make my treatment space welcoming to all genders and topics a patient wants to discuss.

In my pre-professional life I was a collegiate athlete and I still play recreational adult soccer and coach my daughters AYSO team. My family and I enjoy camping, hiking and anything outdoors, especially if it involves water.

A family of three, including a woman, a man, and a young girl, sitting on a large fallen tree trunk in a wooded park during autumn. The woman and girl are smiling, the girl is resting her head on the woman’s shoulder. The scene is bathed in warm sunlight, surrounded by tall trees with peeling white bark and green foliage.
